Happy Birthday Little Sophie J...

We had a wonderful day with Sophie. The day started at the Columbus Zoo, we opened presents, had birthday cake and Tim and his Dad put up a beautiful swing in the back yard this evening. Birthday-Eve at Brio...

Well, this is it... it's Sophie's last day before she turns 1. Where does the time go? The last year has been unbelieveable and we feel so blessed. Sophie enjoyed her "birthday-eve" at Brio. Thought we tried to tempt her with chicken under the brick, sweet potato risotto and mashed potatoes, she stuck to the sourdough bread.

Pool time and watermelon

Sophie was loving the pool. Her cousin Cohen is about a month older than her and it was really fun to see them together. I'm sure they will be buddies every year at the cabin.
 
 
 
 

4th of July parade at the cabin

We were ready for the parade this year (even though we had to go find it this time). This parade has been a tradition for years and I'm fairly certain that the Jones family started the whole thing. I can remember being a little kid and making paper hats and finding pots and pans to bang around as we marched down the street as a group. I am so glad that my Grandpa and Grandma built this cabin years ago. My family has made so many great memories there.
